The Silent Year

It has been more than a year of silence on this blog, but it has still be a year of adventure.

It has been an intense year full of life, learning, and loveable moments. There's no way to sum-up a 12+ months, so here's the briefest glimpse.

I have been working in a full-time co-op position with the Centre for Community-Engaged Learning through the University of Calgary. This has been a beautiful & stretching opportunity full of personal learning & professional growth.
The single biggest highlight of my work terms was working
on a one-week service-learning program in New Orleans.

I tackled a thesis on the Political Economy of Child Labour in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The thesis writing process!

I've enjoyed living for more than a full year in Canada - more consecutive months I've spent at home since I was in high school.
Canada. Home. Family. Friends. Winter Wonderland.
And now I'm disrupting the silence because...I have been accepted as an intern with Students for Development for the summer. This means I am West Africa bound in early May! More to come on that journey soon!
